Feeling lost in your faith, purpose, or identity?

Life has a way of pulling us in all sorts of directions—sometimes all at once. And before we know it, one day, we wake up feeling lost—unsure of who we are, why we’re here, or whether God is still near.

Here at Her Second Chapter, I guide Christian women over 40 who feel lost. I’ll help you embrace who you are in Christ, discover the ways He wants to show up for you, and grow into the beautiful life He is inviting you to live.

You are not alone.

That quiet ache of something missing? It’s more common than you think. In fact, we all feel it at some point.

Even when life looks “fine” on the outside, something inside feels off—like you’ve lost your way, or lost yourself.

Sometimes it starts with a whisper: “I don’t know who I am anymore.”

Other times, it hums beneath the surface: “My life feels… meaningless.”

And sometimes, it crashes in like a wave: “God feels so far away.”

Whether you feel like you’ve lost yourself, your way, or your connection to something greater— please know that you are not alone in this.

This moment? It might just be the beginning of your second chapter — a chapter where you grow spiritually, rediscover who you are in Christ, and step into the beautiful life God has been inviting you to live.

There’s no quick fix for feeling lost.

But there IS a place to begin.

I wish I could give you a neat little checklist. But we both know it doesn’t work like that.

Sometimes we get so lost in our own feelings of loss, we don’t even realize we’re trying to outrun them. We stay busy. We stay distracted.

Until one day, it catches up with us—and we can’t ignore it anymore.

That’s why I created this short audio reflectionnot as a fix, but as a sacred pause. A moment to slow down, exhale, and be reminded that even here, even now, God’s love is still reaching for you.

This was something I sensed Him whisper into my spirit during my own season of feeling lost.

And while I don’t claim to speak for Him, I pray these words create space for you to hear His whisper too — and begin to find your way back to the faith, purpose, and identity He planted in you.

Which kind of lost have you been feeling lately?

There’s more than one way to feel lost. Sometimes it’s spiritual. Sometimes it’s emotional. Sometimes it’s a quiet ache that you can’t quite name. Here are three of the most common ways it shows up…

You feel like you've lost yourself

You’ve spent so long being everything for everyone that somewhere along the way, you feel like YOU disappeared. I want you to know you’re not broken—you’re just buried. There’s still a version of you waiting to be rediscovered.

You feel like your life has no purpose

You keep showing up… but sometimes it feels like you’re just going through the motions. You find yourself wondering, “Is this really all there is?”  This isn’t about being ungrateful— it’s about longing for a deeper purpose. And that longing matters.

You feel like God is far away

You used to feel close to God. But lately? It’s like the connection has gone quiet. Maybe you’re wondering if you’ve done something wrong… or if He’s still even there. No matter how it may feel…you are not alone in this silence.

You're not as lost as you think...

Maybe feeling lost… is where being found begins.

What if this ache isn’t something to escape…but something to listen to?

What if feeling lost isn’t proof that you’re doing something wrong — but a sign that your soul is stirring, stretching, longing for something more?

You don’t need to have it all figured out. You don’t need a five-step plan. You just need enough faith for one small step forward.

And someone to remind you that you’re not walking alone.

I know what it's like to feel lost...

For years, I lived like that. Surviving. Striving. Wondering if maybe that was all there was left for me.

My dreams? Packed away for “someday.” My creativity? Buried beneath responsibility. My connection to God? Faint and distant, like a memory I wasn’t sure how to get back to.

Somewhere along the way—especially in those long, exhausting years of caregiving and parenting—I lost myself.

But you know what I’ve realized? When God plants a dream in your heart, it doesn’t disappear. Even if you’ve shut it down. And even when it feels too late.

Welcome, friend. I’m Andrea Walford. Mentor. Writer. Artist. Mom of five. Ex-caregiver. Entrepreneur.

For over 25 years, I poured myself into others. I raised five kids. Cared for aging family members. Built and ran businesses between nap times and midnight laundry.

Her Second Chapter was born the moment I finally whispered yes. Yes to rediscovering who I am. Yes to dreaming again.
Yes to trusting God with what comes next.

Now I help women like you—women who’ve given so much to others— grow spiritually, rediscover their identity, reconnect with their purpose, and reignite their faith.

Because this season? It’s not about going back. It’s about going deeper—into who you were always meant to be.
